Style Finder - Cemone Warren

I have decided to do something a little bit different today - instead of my usual review, I am going to tell you about my weekly 'Fashionista' & their style (so please, tell me what you think!)
L x

Having your own individual style can be extremely hard & to follow the crowd may seem to be the easier option. However, 16-year-old Cemone Warren has managed to stand out from the crowd & incorporate her own style - causing a stir amongst the 'hipster' teenagers. I was very lucky to interview Miss Warren about her style, where she shops & her modelling prospects. Lauren Lee reports.

You only have to Facebook her name to find Cemone. Adored my thousands of teenagers, Cemone Warren deals with the so-called 'Facebook Fame'. However, this is not what strikes me more about the teen. For someone so young, Cemone has developed a very unique, mature sense of style - incorporating her own ideas and independent brands such as Oddity.

LaurenFirstly, what would you say your influences your style?

Cemone WarrenLots of things like I love the grunge type of look but   more girly like I get a lot of ideas of my outfits from Taylor Momsen I love her style as it just looks effortlessly hot with the whole rock look going on but i like to give it my own thing by making it more girly and wearable.

Lauren Jade LeeAh, I see what you mean! The look is very unique. Any favourite brands? or are you more of a vintage girl?

Cemone WarrenDolls kill is one of my favourites are their some of their stuff is crazy but in a good way it's really cute and in your face, also a smaller brand that's just started called Thieves of thunder they take kid like things like Disney and make them evil which I think I awesome. I love vintage things but i normally just go in my mums wardrobe and steal all her really old clothes she wore when she was a teenager to be honest

Lauren Jade Lee: Speaking of Thieves of Thunders, you have collaborated with a lot of independent brands such as Oddity & Slat, what attracts you to the brands? Do you wish to model as a career option?

Cemone Warren: I just like them as they're all totally different to what you see in new look or river island and also I prefer the whole i independent label as I know i wont walk down the street and see everyone else wearing them and yeah I've always wanted to do modelling but I'm not sure on if it'll just be part time sort of thing as I do now or get any bigger but I wouldn't mind it at all.

Fashion: My favourite pieces!

Hello Beautifuls!

I haven't done a fashion piece for a while, So I thought I'd share the items I am Loving this summer!

Dungarees
New Look - £24.99

Aaa piece that I am so excited to wear a pair of dungarees! If you want a piece that will remind you of a hazy summer day when you were a child, these will certainly do the trick! I decided to purchase a light pair of short dungarees with a slight acid wash because I think it will be easier to incorporate these into my wardrobe. I think I'll probably wear this with a plain white crop top (or any other plain crop top for that matter!) and maybe my white converse for a cute, laid back look. Or, a checked shirt with a cute pair of ankle boots. Of course, there are lots of different style of dungarees at the moment; floral, long, short, striped! So there is a variety of dungarees to play about with.

Crop Tops
BooHoo.com - £8

I love crop tops, they are a huge 80s'/90's flashback and whenever I seem to wear one my mum always ends up telling me about how she used to wear them when she was my age. I love the fact that they can be worn on a night out or more casually depending how you wear them. As suggested above, I'm going to wear these with dungarees and I love teaming up my black long sleeved crop top with a bright blue midi skirt or wearing a crop top with a design on, such as the one above, with either a pair of disco pants or a pair of ripped jeans

Midi Skirts
DaisyStreet.co.uk - £12.99

Since it's becoming warmer (and my legs are finally turning a nice, brown shade!) I think its time to start wearing the skirts again. Midi skirts, like a crop top, can be warn either casually or more formally. I really like this skirt by DaisyStreet.co.uk because it is really bold and can be styled with a plain crop top (yes, I am obsessed with crop tops!) With the midi skirts, I think the bolder the better as it will make more of a statement and will become easier to style around!

Midi Dresses
OMG Fashion - £15

There really is an obsession with medium length skirts and dresses at the moment, which I am not complaining about as it shows the more 'classier' and 'sophisticated' side of women. The midi dress can be styled for both day and night purposes - which is really great because I love this style of dress. Like the style above, the dress can have quite a 'fun', 'pop arty' feel to it which makes it really fun and is definitely a statement piece. However, there is lots of variety of midi dresses like tie dye, plain with long sleeves or printed. I usually wear my tie-dye midi dresses with a pair of tan sandals and my vintage leather jacket

What is your favourite piece for this summer?

Outfit of the day: 90s Nostalgia

Hello Beautifuls!

I'm planning to do a few posts over the weekend as I have unfortunatley been neglecting my blog (boohoo!)

SO I'm going to start with an outfit of the day post!

Outfit: Hat - ARK, Black long-sleeved crop top - Primak, Tie dye shredded jeans - Bershka, White Converse - Schuh

After attending the Ark sale in Leeds yesterday, I couldn't resist checking out my all time favourite clothes shop - Primark (you either love it or hate it) and I ended up buying a striped dress and 3 crop tops - with this being one of them. This look really reminds me of 80s/90s fashion - and with 90s nostalgia being a key trend this summer, I wanted to work out a casual outfit which will still be bang on trend.

My First Couture Item!

Since I first discovered Glamour magazine, I've always been a huge admirer of high end fashion brands:- Chanel for their quilted handbags, Jimmy Choo for his adorable shoes and also Louis Vuitton.

I think it must have been Christmas 2009 when I discovered my love for Mr McQueen. His outrageous and fun designs were displayed in Selfridge's windows and I was completely amazed. This week, I was extremely excited to get my hands on a genuine and infamous skull scarf from the lovely Adore YourCouture!

Oh my gosh! I am completely in love with the scarf! I was sceptic at first because i wasn't sure if it was the genuine item but, after much research, I can happily say it is :) and at a steal price of £15, you cannot go wrong

What is your favourite Couture item?  or your favourite brand? Let me know!

Shoe Review: Jeffrey Campbell style Boots

Since I first came across the popular boots, I knew I had to have a pair. I never really was a shoe person but something drew me to these shoes - the fact that I never saw anything like them before? the gorgeous studded heel? whatever it was, I was determined to have them. However, with me being a student I could hardly fork out much for a pair (my heart did sink a little when I saw the price tag) so I returned to my best friend - eBay - and came across this:

With alot of 'ooohing' and 'arrrrring' I decided to buy them, and I have never looked back! as soon as they got delivered in the post, I had to wear them. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to walk in them, but the concealed heel gave me the comfort and support I needed. J'adore!

Now, for the best bit: the price tag. I was willing to spend a good amount on these pair of beauties and I was pleasantly suprised at the price tag. £18.95!! yes, you read that correctly! and £4.95 P&P, how could you go wrong?!

go shop my darlings: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251210516597

truly recommended!

So tell me, what are your favourite pair of shoes/heels/boots? and why?

Until tomorrow,

Lauren

Clothes review: Dorothy Perkins and New Look

I love the festive season: the food, the family time where no arguments will take place, the joy across people's faces when they open their presents ... Always a feel-good factor. With all this being said, there's nothing better than the Boxing Day sales/ January sales. This year, most of my Christmas money went on my favourite bath range Soap & Glory (which I will be reviewing soon) and my new addiction Lush (again, I shall be review a few of the products soon).

I struggled however to find any clothes or shoes I desired, which is odd for me seeing as I would consider myself a shopaholic. Everywhere I looked I couldn't find anything I wanted. So I turned to the Internet and managed to find some gorgeous items at Dorothy Perkins (with an extra 15% off every sale Item, how could i resist!):

Both of the tops were £10, knock down from £26(ish) and the dress was £12 instea of £45. Total bargains if you ask me!

They arrived promptly in the post and I can happily say that I am happy with my purchases! I shall be hopefully wearing all my clothes this week :)

I also managed to pick up some GORGEOUS leopard print ankle boots from New Look for just £12! (bargain!)

Usually heels give me terrible footache (damn size 4 feet) but I can safely say these did not give me any such ache! a total pleasure to be in :)

Stay tuned darlings!
