Every woman knows that the right underwear can make you feel a million pounds. Not only is it an everyday essential - but it is also a big component for creating body confidence. This is probably the reason why women spend £836 on their underwear collection!

For students however, the cost will be on a smaller scale - with girls opting for a cost-effective Primark bra than the luxury of Ann Summers or La Senza.

With this is mind, I have been browsing the web to look for more affordable but luxury bras for us poor students and I came with a solution.

Ann Summers have an amazing sale sections that - to my knowledge - is always available. The amount of underwear I have brought from their is ridiculous!

This bra is a perfect example of this. The black padded bra first retailed for a staggering £18, which is a pretty standard price for an Ann Summers bra. However, after a few months the bra has been reduced to an amazing £5! Saving you a huge £13.

Well it's nearly that time of year again. Valentine's Day - it reminds me a lot of Marmite - you love it or hate it. For most singletons (like myself)  it's a day to be feared and a bucket full of Ben and Jerry's to be on had to get you through your day. However, this year I have decided to embrace my single status and spend the day with my best lady friend Steph. Who say's valentines have to be a romantic love?!

However, if you are lucky enough to be with someone on this romantic day, I have been browsing high and low for the perfect outfits for the day. Whether it be a date night to the cinema or a fancy dinner out - I have come up with a few plans to help you look your best!

Date at the cinema:

For most, when it comes to a cinema date comfort it a must. I know most of the time you are in the dark when it comes to this date, however I believe that a girl can look her best whatever the day - you may just have to dress it down a tad.

For some, Valentines will be a first chance of a first date.  For most, a woman wants to show her sexiness but I believe it's the first chance you get to show signs of who you are but to still keep them guessing.

Daisy Street offer a range of clothes perfect for that first date feeling. Their style is similar to that of Urban Outfitters but with the prices slashed in half! Very handy for when you are a student. This pink PVC skirt is bang on trend and can be teamed up with a sheer, cream vest or something that doesn't show too much flesh. For shoes, I would opt for a low to mid heel in a nude colour or some black platform boots.

Dinner Date:

When it comes to underwear, I don't mind splashing some cash. When I was a wee teenager, I discovered I had the odd or unpopular bra size of a 32D/30DD and had to search around to try to find the most affordable bras. This bra size is still a rarity in itself, however I have found that the popular lingerie company Ann Summers always has my size!

I was recently sent 2 sets of underwear from the brand and I can say I am totally in love with them! The bras give you the well needed support and don't rub onto your skin. The pants aren't too tight so they do not show any unnecessary pant line. I just love them!

Enigma Navy Balconette Bra - £26

I adore the colour of this bra - a lovely deep navy look, and with the added 'half lacy' cup adds the right amount of sexiness! For me, this bra fits perfectly and makes my breast look rounder and more full without any need of 'chicken fillets'.

The matching underwear came with the little hooks that can be attached to suspenders. the pants were not too tight - even for my big bootie! and I felt more confident when wearing them.

Persia Burgundy Bra - £30

This was my favourite bra of the set and screams '50 shades of Grey!' This multi strap bra is a stunning pink which can be worn with or without straps. What's so 50 about it? in the centre of the bra has an elastic cross. The purpose of this is for the rope that comes with the underwear, and all of your 'tied up' desires can finally come alive!

Plain and simple, this thong matches perfectly with the underwear. 

If your after sexy, feel-good underwear then the obvious choice would be Ann Summers - and with them having a 60% off sale at the moment, how can you resist!

Getting bargains in the January sales!

Hello my Darlings!

Being the bargainista that I am, I cannot resist the Boxing Day/ January sales. Although Christmas seems like a lifetime ago, the sales are still quite intense.

So a tip: Do check out the later January sales!

Everyone usually gives up with the sales as soon as January passes the first week, thinking that all the 'best deals' or 'bargains' have been snatched up. Oh how wrong you are!

Yesterday, I went shopping with the girlies and we stubbled across the lingerie retailer Ann Summers. With valentines on the way, I thought it only fitting to get some new underwear!

Wandering around I stubbles across these little gems!









I also purchased the matching g string, which cost me £3.50 instead of £10!

I saved well over £50 and I can happily say that I am proud of my bargains!

These were hidden, and there wasn't an actual sales section so make sure you check around and look for the bargains!
