10 Ways: Embrace the ways

Hello Beautiful!

I don't think I would be the only one to say that I hate paying full price for the luxuries I love to buy. I mean, there is nothing more satisfactory than finding a good bargain or a little designer gem in the corner of the charity shop.

With Christmas coming round the corner, I don't think there would be a better time to find the inner bargainista in you. The festive period is such a hard time on our pockets, and I think if you can save to a few pounds this year - it would totally be worth it.

Being a student (and a bit of a social networking addict) I came across a Facebook page called 10 ways to have more money as a student, without working. or, more commonly known as 10 ways. Now, before I explain this site, I would like to clarify that it can be used by everyone - so take full advantage.

Now, to get to the point, this site will everyday show its views top bargains, glitches and freebies to make life a little easier. A few weeks ago as I was having a gander on Facebook and I noticed that 10 ways was showing a glitch for Body Shop, stating that I could get £60 worth of items for £10. Unbelievable right? wrong.

Me, being a sucker for a bargain actually went through & purchased 2 Body Shop gifts and 2 'Love your Body' cards - which allow the customer to get a free gift on their birthday. There was a lot of dispute to whether this would work or not.

However, I can happily confirm that it did!

Cherry blossom & Vanilla Musk gift sets

As you can see, I picked to gift sets worth £25 each. I think both of these will make great Christmas presents - each costing less than £5 each! How handy is that!

The link for the page is here &, even as we speak, they are running a very good deal on a phone contract. I strongly recommend you go and check this out!

GET THE STUFF YOU WANT, FOR LESS

http://www.unipaper.co.uk/get-the-stuff-you-want-for-less/

Being students is never easy on anyone’s bank account. All the nights out, the independent living and feeling like you can’t afford any luxury items anymore. Well, you can think again! After much research (and personal experiences) I am going to tell you my 3 top tips so you can afford the stuff you really want.
1. Joining ‘groupon’ sites:  Sites such as ‘wowcher’ are great places to get 50% of things that interest you. For example, when I looked at deals in Nottingham I found:

All you have to do is sign up using your email, and select your location. Then every week they will send you the best deals. Another site you can use is BuyaPowa, which is a little different to Wowcher. BuyaPowa use group buying to get you the best price for an item of your choice. Your recommend an item, they will send you an email when it’s live and the more people that buy the product, the cheaper it gets.

2. Check out ‘Freebie’ Sites: All across the web are sites that offer great discounts and even tell you where you can get free items. One of those sights is ‘10 ways to have more money as a student, without working’.

Another great site is The Social Networking Site: This site offers beauty / fashion items for up to 90% off the RRP! Which makes it a lot more purse (or wallet) friendly.
3. Want Designer? Check out T K Maxx: Now, I know that not everyone is a fan of T K Maxx but as a regular shopper there myself, I can definitely say that the company has grown and become a lot better.

After a recent shop there, I brought a pair of real Kurt Geiger shoes – which would have been £140 full price – for a measly £40! Meaning I saved over 50%. Plus, they are doing more high market brands such as Jeffrey Campbell and Guess – giving you more value for your money.
Happy Saving!

Getting bargains in the January sales!

Hello my Darlings!

Being the bargainista that I am, I cannot resist the Boxing Day/ January sales. Although Christmas seems like a lifetime ago, the sales are still quite intense.

So a tip: Do check out the later January sales!

Everyone usually gives up with the sales as soon as January passes the first week, thinking that all the 'best deals' or 'bargains' have been snatched up. Oh how wrong you are!

Yesterday, I went shopping with the girlies and we stubbled across the lingerie retailer Ann Summers. With valentines on the way, I thought it only fitting to get some new underwear!

Wandering around I stubbles across these little gems!

I also purchased the matching g string, which cost me £3.50 instead of £10!

I saved well over £50 and I can happily say that I am proud of my bargains!

These were hidden, and there wasn't an actual sales section so make sure you check around and look for the bargains!

So, why did you get in the January sales?

Why you should always check the bargain sections ...

No one likes to overspend right? finding something you brought for a cheaper price just makes you wince :( especially when you could use the cash for something else (those shoes you desperately want or a Starbucks)

Well, I am luckily enough to have one of the most jammiest mothers in the world! she would come home with luxury items and they only be a fraction of the price! and she has guided me to become a bargainista myself (I always get called cheap because if I know something is cheaper elsewhere, I will go there)

One of the best things I could recommend (apart from looking for the best deals bla bla bla) would be look for clearance sections. Most places have them! Superdrugs, Boots ... Asda! with items that are slightly damaged i.e. the packaging or they just may be trying to get rid of the stocks. So, next time you go in ... have a gander round the shop and see if you could spot any & let me know if you see anything good!

My bargain of the week!

Enjoy my lovelies!
