I don't think I would be the only one to say that I hate paying full price for the luxuries I love to buy. I mean, there is nothing more satisfactory than finding a good bargain or a little designer gem in the corner of the charity shop.

With Christmas coming round the corner, I don't think there would be a better time to find the inner bargainista in you. The festive period is such a hard time on our pockets, and I think if you can save to a few pounds this year - it would totally be worth it.

Being a student (and a bit of a social networking addict) I came across a Facebook page called 10 ways to have more money as a student, without working. or, more commonly known as 10 ways. Now, before I explain this site, I would like to clarify that it can be used by everyone - so take full advantage.

Now, to get to the point, this site will everyday show its views top bargains, glitches and freebies to make life a little easier. A few weeks ago as I was having a gander on Facebook and I noticed that 10 ways was showing a glitch for Body Shop, stating that I could get £60 worth of items for £10. Unbelievable right? wrong.

Me, being a sucker for a bargain actually went through & purchased 2 Body Shop gifts and 2 'Love your Body' cards - which allow the customer to get a free gift on their birthday. There was a lot of dispute to whether this would work or not.

However, I can happily confirm that it did!

As you can see, I picked to gift sets worth £25 each. I think both of these will make great Christmas presents - each costing less than £5 each! How handy is that!

East Midlands Designer Outlet - My Haul

I love designer gear. I also love a good bargain. East Midlands Designer Outlet, located in South Normanton, has combined the best that retail has to offer with the bonus of having 'up to 60% off '. How could I not resist taking advantage of some of these items?

My bargains

The first place we stopped in is the classic Marks and Spencer's. Although I do not normally shop there, it's my grandmas favourite shop so - why not?

I did manage to pick up a cute bandana bikini with pink candy stripes and bows on the bottoms. The bikini all together should have been over £30 and I manages to steal it for £18! which I think is pretty good for the quality. And what was better? That day the sun wear was an extra 20% off so I was extremely impressed.

I also had a quick gander at the clearance section (seriously, how could I resist!) and managed to find a decent 'push up' bra in my size. I do love Marks and Sparks bras as I always find them to be supportive and comfy - which any woman will know is a blessing when it comes to bras. The bra was a steal at £6.66 instead of £18 - which again is a brilliant price for marks and sparks!

As you know, I recently got a Fiorelli bag from T K Maxx and I really do like the brand. When I saw that they had an outlet store here I had to look for a bargain. I came across this glittery, funky Fiorelli London bag which I think will be perfect for carrying my University books and folders around in September. it may not be to anyones taste but I really do think it's different. 

And lastly, I have wanted to test some of the new Marc Jacob perfumes for a while now and noticed that the centre had a Fragrance Shop Outlet. So in I went in and unintentionally came out with a 50ml bottle of 'Dot'. Anyone that knows the Marc Jacob perfumes knows that the bottles are very cute with plastic flowers or, in Dot's case, a butterfly. The smell is extremely sweet, with vanilla, honeysuckle and jasmine all included in the fragrance. The bottle was £36.99 instead of £46.99 which has saved me a whole £10 - yay!

I am yet to go to the Bicester Village designer outlet, and I cannot wait to venture there!

Website of the Week: Fragrance Direct

Do you like beauty bargains?

Good, because you are reading the right post.

I love make up. In fact, you could say I am a little bit obsessed. I can just walk into boots or superdrug and pick up a new lipstick just because I don't think I have that colour.

However, I have found a new site to help my cravings with make up. Fragrance Direct is a website that deals with delivering discounted fragrances to people like me and you.

I however, use it to get the best price out of quality products such as Essie nail polish and Dainty Doll products.

Essie nail polishes are pretty expensive at a rate of £7.99 per polish, and i'm afraid I really cannot justify that. On Fragrance Direct, the polishes are only £1.99! which is quite a bargain compared to the £8. The catch? there are only a selected amount of polishes - but if you check regularly you may be able to find different polishes and one you are after.

Dainty Doll is also quite expensive, and with it slowly disappearing from the market - it is becoming harder to find. Fragrance Direct have most of the products from the Dainty Doll collection at a fraction of the price.

More Bargains can be found amongst the website if you have a good look around, you never know what you may find!

Why you should check out your local Charity Shop ...

I have had so many blog Ideas going through my head recently but I have decided, seeing as I have the items with me, to do a post about charity shops.

Everyone likes a bargain. And everyone likes getting designer items for a fraction of the price. But would you ever think about going to a charity shop? probably not.

On Tuesday me, my mother & my mother-in-law went to the little (posh) town of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. My mum is very much a cheap person & is always looking for a bargain (which is definitely reflected in me!) scouring the reduction section and charity shops. There were a few charity shops in Ashbourne that we visited & I really liked one shop. When I go looking in Charity shops, I look from brands - well, designer brands - because I can never usually buy anything full priced. A lookie what I found! :

A genuine Ralph Lauren Shirt! To me, this is exciting stuff as it was a bargain for less than a fiver! And just browsing through the website - the shirt would have been £85! WOW!! I am going to wear this shirt with either white jeans/trousers or black leggings & a white top underneath.

I'm also a vintage junkie, but I sometimes think the vintage prices are well - overpriced. I've been after a 50's looking bag for god know how long & found this:

How beautiful it this? So bloody cheap!

So, when you go past your local charity shop, don't be 'stuck up' about going in because you may get the best bargain of your life! or find a little designer gem, like I did!

Getting bargains in the January sales!

Hello my Darlings!

Being the bargainista that I am, I cannot resist the Boxing Day/ January sales. Although Christmas seems like a lifetime ago, the sales are still quite intense.

So a tip: Do check out the later January sales!

Everyone usually gives up with the sales as soon as January passes the first week, thinking that all the 'best deals' or 'bargains' have been snatched up. Oh how wrong you are!

Yesterday, I went shopping with the girlies and we stubbled across the lingerie retailer Ann Summers. With valentines on the way, I thought it only fitting to get some new underwear!

Wandering around I stubbles across these little gems!









I also purchased the matching g string, which cost me £3.50 instead of £10!

I saved well over £50 and I can happily say that I am proud of my bargains!

These were hidden, and there wasn't an actual sales section so make sure you check around and look for the bargains!

Why you should always check the bargain sections ...

No one likes to overspend right? finding something you brought for a cheaper price just makes you wince :( especially when you could use the cash for something else (those shoes you desperately want or a Starbucks)

Well, I am luckily enough to have one of the most jammiest mothers in the world! she would come home with luxury items and they only be a fraction of the price! and she has guided me to become a bargainista myself (I always get called cheap because if I know something is cheaper elsewhere, I will go there)

One of the best things I could recommend (apart from looking for the best deals bla bla bla) would be look for clearance sections. Most places have them! Superdrugs, Boots ... Asda! with items that are slightly damaged i.e. the packaging or they just may be trying to get rid of the stocks. So, next time you go in ... have a gander round the shop and see if you could spot any & let me know if you see anything good!
