Review: T B Club

Hello Gorgeous!

When I am not wearing my favourite midi dress, I love wearing a pair of comfy jeans and a printed T shirt. I have millions - Michael Jackson, Coca Cola, you name it!

A few months ago, I came across the brand T B Club (short for The Breakfast Club) and absolutely fell in love with their tattooed Marilyn Monroe and tattooed Audrey Hepburn tops and vowed that I would have one for myself.

Last week, I was browsing through their website and came across the 'Lucky Dip' section and decided I would try it. For £20, you get 3 random tops in your size - some may even be limited edition or one offs - so I thought, why not!

I am so pleased with my decision and absolutely love my tops! And know I will wear all 3!

The Tops

Starting from the left is the 'Masked Marilyn' top, which I will admit is my favourite. The tattooed Marilyn really is striking and very unique compared to her usual glamorous self. The middle one is off a boxer covered in tattoos which, again, I think is quite quirky. Last but not least is a tattooed version of Sloth from the Goonies. This happens to be my youngest sisters favourite top as she is obsessed with The Goonies.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend anyone - male or female - to buy from this store if you are looking for original designs and originality.

My next purchase from them - The tattooed Audrey!

Review - Marilyn by Lush

Hello my Darlings!

As promised, here I am with a lovely hair mask review!

Anyone who is a blonde will know how hard it is to maintain:- the constant hair dying, the unwanted brassy tones & the drying state your hair becomes. Some hair treatment can cause blonde hair to become more brittle & dry, which is no fun!

However! help is at hand!

I was lucky enough to be sent a sample of the Marilyn hair treatment, and I am totally in love!

In it's iconic lush packaging, I couldn't wait to try the product & ran straight upstairs.

photo

The thick, yellow mask smells absolutely gorgeous! you can definatly smell the infusion of chamomile in the treatment, and with the addition of olive oil, lemon oil and linseed you know that it it will do good for your hair. Aswell as the moisturising properties, the mask contains lemon juice to help gradually lighten the hair, as lemon and chamomile have naturally occurring peroxide. The mask is said to 'maintains the blonde you have, whilst chamomile and lemon combine to give a hint of a glint of brightness' which I will be putting to the test. What I like about Lush is the lack of chemicals in the products, knowing that they are actually doing good to your hair. And, of course, for the their lack of animal testing (having cats as pets since you were 6, they become like your best friends!)

So, the mask is a pre-wash treatment - meaning that you use it before you wash your hair. I slathered the product on, put a shower cap 0n & enjoyed a lovely, warm bath (aaa, relaxing baths - how I love thee) I left the product on for about 30 minutes and rinsed it off with cool water - and then proceeded to shampoo, condition and dry my hair. I was impressed with the results! My hair feels soft and actually shines!:

See! I wasn't kidding! AND it took out the brassy, yellow tones (I had bleached my hair about 2 days before the treatment)

I actually adore this product, and I WILL be purchasing some more! I seriously recommend you visit your local lush store or visit them online: https://www.lush.co.uk/product/283/Marilyn-Hair-Moisturiser

Have any of you tried this product before? what was your experience?

My Inspiration/idols

Hello my Beauties!

Everyone has their inspirations - be it Wayne Rooney or Jessie j, everyone has that one (or few) person that gives them hope & helps them pursue their dreams. I have 3 main ones & after reading an article in the sun about Dizzy Sophie Webster (well, whatever her name is) being pro-anorexia, I had to share mine. I have been anorexic twice in my life time, & I'm still very much in a love/hate relationship with it. These few people are my 'thinspiration' so to speak:

Audrey Hepburn:
What an incredible woman. One of the most glamorous sophisticated actresses of the 1950/60s. A fashion Icon, Audrey is well known for her role in Breakfast at Tiffany's - the movie in which I fell for Miss Hepburn. When I saw her again in the galaxy advert - it just reminded me how much I adore her. She was always a petite creature - with the most infectious smile & brilliant personality which you can just gather by her face. Although she died over 20 years ago (rest her soul) She is still very much alive in British Culture & influencing our fashion.

Marilyn Monroe:

Aah, the original Blonde bombshell - and the woman who I have gotten so much inspiration from. Again, she has had such an affect on our Art culture and the English speaking world altogether. Her bleach blonde locks are iconic & something I always wanted to resemble. Her acting in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes & How to Marry a Millionaire is amazing and extremely humorous. And once more,  she wasn't a stick. She was a curvy size 14 around the hips, she smoked, she drank but she was still very much an admirable woman. I love her so much that I have even got a quote of her on my right hand side My very first tattoo <3

Kim Kardashian:
This woman gets a lot of hate from the press, but I cannot help but admire her & her sisters. Whatever she does, she does it off her own back - her clothes line, her successful perfume line, everything - she's an exceptional business woman. Yes, she may have done some crappy stuff but beyond that she is a very charming, loving lady. &, again, she excepts her curves - and my god I wish I had that body. Her features in the face are extraordinary & I cannot help but feel envy towards her. Just. Wow.

Who are your inspirations?

My growing love for Lush

Hello my Darlings!

For some extraordinary reason my previous Lush review has been deleted so I am going to do an all-round review on a few products on Lush (Yay!)

I first starting using the products on boxing day when I brought my first ever gift set and products. Since then, they've become an everyday essential in my beauty regime.

Vanilla Dee-lite: My ALL TIME favorite lush product. This classic body butter has the most indulgent smell I have every smelt in a product (aside from perfume) as it is infused with vanilla pods. Not only does it make me smell great, It makes my skin feel so soft!

Snow Fairy shower gel: This shower gel really does take me back to my childhood. The sweet, incising smell just makes me feel like a child in a sweetie shop! and with the lquid being pink, How can I resist?

Retread conditioner: This conditioner makes my hair feel extra soft & seems to help my split ends. This is due to it being infused with Olive, Jojoba and Avocado oils to give a deep condition. This also reminds me that I need to buy some more!

Father Christmas Ball Ballistic: Anyone who has tried this bath bomb know that it really  is a festive treat! From the way it fades from pale red to a Christmas tree green mixed with red glitter to the exotic aroma of Mandarin Oil & Orange Flower.

Marilyn Pre-wash treatment: Although I have already done a review on this (which can be found here) I really doe recommend this for any brassy blonde as, not only does it help tone the brassiness, it helps treat brittle blonde hair.

So, which Lush Product shall I try next?
